Police are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman who died within 15 minutes of each other in London.

Officers were called to an address in Ambleside Road in Brent, north west London, at 12.07pm on Thursday, where a woman, believed to be in her 20s, was found dead.

At 12:19pm British Transport Police said a man aged in his 30s died at the London Underground station at Green Park, central London. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers said the unidentified male was known to the woman, though Scotland Yard refused to comment on the exact nature of their relationship.

They also would not comment on whether her death was being treated as suspicious, and are in the process of informing her next of kin.

Formal identification of the body and a post-mortem examination are due to take place, while enquiries into the full circumstances continue.
