The first episode of Series 11 of Dragons' Den aired on Sunday and I have to admit that I was at the edge of my seat watching the start. It was that mix of excitement and nervousness, wondering how I'd be perceived as one of the newest Dragons.
After a couple of minutes, I felt at ease. I remembered what a great time I had filming it and the exciting investments I was about to embark on. I think you can tell how well we get along. Coming into the show, I already knew Duncan and Peter and Deborah and Piers were such welcoming people. As a panel of judges, we all have our own strengths and expertise, which really complement each other.
I don't want to spoil the episode for those that have not seen it yet, but I am too excited to keep quiet about working with Skinny Tan and not only because Piers came into the deal and how much I am enjoying working with him. I can see us working really well together and I am fascinated by his technology industry expertise.
The brains behind the tanner are the self-titled 'mumtrepreneurs' and Skinny Tan Co-Founders Kate Cotton and Louise Ferguson. They caught my attention immediately! I am a big champion of strong and innovative women in business and I saw that drive in their eyes. All five Dragons wanted to get a piece of the tanning action. They are amazing women with an amazing product and I am really looking forward to having a long and successful future working with these ladies.
And now about the product! As soon as I tried Skinny Tan in the Den, I loved it! The colour was natural and it was really easy to apply. It's a great product and I am already recommending Skinny Tan to all my friends. It has success written all over it!
I can't wait for everyone to see the next episode! There are lots more interesting ideas and new and exciting products to come!
