Stop Eating Lunch, and Go to the Summer Series Instead

Lunches, even just a sandwich, a drink and some sort of sweet thing to make the afternoon slightly more bearable rarely give much change from a tenner; rents are preposterous when compared to anyone at all living outside London; and it has never been easier to spend most of your salary on tube fares. But every once in a while, something comes along that's so fun, and unique- so unbelievably cool, in fact, that it reminds us why we are Londoners.

Today tickets go on sale for the Summer Series at Somerset House- the chance to see some of the best acts in the world play in one of its most beautiful venues. Including Band of Horses, Jessie Ware and Tom Odell, this Series offers Londoners (and, OK fine, out-of-towners, but we should warn them about the increased bus fares) the chance to see a phenomenal range of talent from the awe-inspiring courtyard. Hurry up, because at £27.50 tickets are little more than three London lunches.
