Are you Living the Life of Your Dreams?

I have a really important question to ask you.

You owe it to yourself to stop what you're doing for a moment and really think about it... Have you stopped? OK, here it is.....

Are you living the life of your dreams?

Now before you answer that, I'm not talking about the type of dreams that are so unrealistic they are actually fantasies. I'm talking about the life you imagined you would live when you were so much younger. You know, when it was easy to see possibilities ahead of you.

Are you living that life?

If you are, well done. If you're not, please keep reading.

A teacher of mine used to always say: "Life isn't a dress rehearsal". She was right, this is the only life we have and it is up to us to live it.

But sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in the everyday happenings of life. Time begins to move more quickly the older we get, and before you know it, you're someplace you didn't plan to be. Working in a job you aren't really happy in. In a body you want to change, and feeling like something is missing. Time keeps going and nothing changes.

Until.... Right..... Now........

What is it you want out of your life?

Not want you don't want, not what your friends want, not what you think you are supposed to want. Not what others tell you that you want.

But what do YOU want?

So do you know what you want in life?

For most people it's no.

But you are not most people. You are special, and you can begin to change your life right now, firstly by taking some time and deciding what it is you want, and then by taking action to achieve it.

The next question that needs to be asked is:

"If you know what you want, do you know how to get it?"

If you do, congratulations, go do it.

If you don't, take a deep breath, smile, and realise all the things that you didn't know how to do at some point in your life. Walking, reading, writing, using a computer, riding a bike, driving a car etc. But you learned, and you can learn what to do to make your dreams your reality.

Now you and I know how easy it is to plan on taking some time to get clear and decide what you want in life. And you also know how easy it is to keep putting it off, never quite getting to it, and living the consequences of that procrastination. You may feel that you will be criticised for having the life you want. So what? Most people who criticise are merely jealous and wish they could do what you do. They can equally live the lives they want if they just decide what it is they want and go and do it.

If you are not sure where to begin, ask someone to help you, do some research into whatever it is you are planning to do.

Stop procrastinating, get on and do it. Live the life of your dreams.
