hyperemesis gravidarum

The Duchess of Cambridge has undertaken her first royal engagement since announcing she is pregnant with her third child
'For far too long women were expected to ‘put up’ with their symptoms.'
All women suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) should be offered the “royal standard” of pregnancy sickness treatment
I have been pregnant twice and both times I was completely debilitated by HG. I will never intentionally fall pregnant again, because the thought of it is so completely unbearable. I couldn't justify putting my family through it, knowing the effect it would have on us all.
'Whilst everyone was excited for the pregnancy I just wanted it to be over.'
Since the Duchess of Cambridge revealed she is suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum in her third pregnancy, many women have
I was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a horrendous illness in pregnancy, which is unfortunately, in many cases, overlooked and dealt with by a patronising, 'You're just pregnant, it's morning sickness'.
We don't yet have a cure for HG, and we still have a long way to go to breakdown all the stigmas and difficulties women experience in accessing treatment. But in the meantime every individual can do their bit for these mothers to be who want above all to survive their pregnancy and become a mother.
Oh how I wish I was one of the ladies that "glow" with health and go swimming and jogging every day, filled with energy from the beauty of the new life within. But I am not. Maybe one day soon, yes, hopefully.
