Fox News was subject to yet another attack this week – this time from an anchor at the rival news broadcaster CNN.

After Fox ran a wilfully ignorant headline on an Washington Times article mocking climate change entitled, "Climate Doesn’t Cooperate With Al Gore’s Group’s Visit to Denver EPA Hearings," Brian Weir responded by tweeting "Weather is not climate, you wilfully ignorant f*cksticks."

That’s right – "f*cksticks". Fox News "f*cksticks"

The tweet, unsurprisingly, went quickly viral, and though Weir didn’t delete it he did later apologise, saying: "The glop of Midwestern guilt stuck in my chest prob won't go away until I apologize to @foxnation for name-calling. Dumb move. My bad."

The Fox News Channel has been embroiled in a high profile spat this week with Russell Brand, the British comedian targeting Fox News anchor Sean Hannity over the “Ken doll’s” handling of a recent segment on Gaza.
