James Burt is a human rights advocate and commentator. He is a Co-Founder and Director of Human Atlas, a charitable organization that uses storytelling, photojournalism, and film to help communities and individuals who face social difficulties. He serves as the Special Adviser to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on North Korea, a cross-party group of MPs and Peers that works with exiled North Koreans to formulate solutions to the human rights and security crises in North Korea. And he is the Director of Research at the European Alliance for Human Rights in North Korea, a UK-based NGO that seeks to empower exiled North Koreans and free those confined in North Korea.
