Kate Miles

Actress, starring in E4's The Work Experience

Kate Miles cut her teeth on heavyweight dramas. She played a BNP candidate in BBC1's England Expects the day after leaving The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art; followed by the BAFTA winning The Government Inspector and Golden Globe Best Drama, Longford, alongside Jim Broadbent and Samantha Morton. Now Kate is having a comedy purple patch. Kate stars in E4's new series The Work Experience - part sitcom, part docu-drama. She has also been cast in HBO/BBC improvised comedy Family Tree, made by 'Christopher Guest', director of Spinal Tap and starring Chris O'Dowd. As a TV Producer, Kate worked on The Word and Gaytime TV and has been Editor, Producer and Los Angeles Correspondent for The Big Breakfast, spending 3 years in LA interviewing Hollywood A-listers. Raised in Lincolnshire and Devon, Kate is mother of two children. She has an acting degree from RADA, and a BA in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University

An Internship in a Brand New Style of Comedy

After watching the pilot I had to accept that, what makes this show so unique, so funny, are its stars, the interns. Yes, we actors busted our balls (and our nerves and possibly our sanity) to stay in character for so long and deal with whatever came our way. But the comedy gold was in the interns' faces.
