Melissa Benn is a writer and campaigner. Her non-fiction books include 'School Wars: The Battle for Britain's Education' and ' What Should We Tell Our Daughters? The Pleasures and Pressures of Growing Up Female' which was published in paperback in 2014. year. She has also written two novels,'Public Lives' and 'One of Us', currently a Vintage paperback, which was shortlisted for a British Book Award. Melissa writes regularly for the Guardian, New Statesman and many other publications. She is a regular speaker and broadcaster.She is the co-author of an e-book 'School Myths - and the Evidence That Blow Them Apart' which will be available from early 2015.
