Professor Mike Trenell is chair of Changing Health http://www.changinghealth.com, and director, National Health Information Research (NIHR) Innovation Observatory, director of MoveLab and part of the leadership team of the RCUK Centre for Ageing and Vitality at Newcastle University. He is also a member of the Diabetes UK Scientific Steering Group and member of the strategic advisory board for the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for healthcare.
Mike has a specialist interest in innovation in health, driven by his work in how lifestyle influences lifelong health and wellbeing and chronic disease, particularly diabetes, cardiovascular disease, dementia and stroke. He is acknowledged as one of the UK‘s leading clinical diabetes scientists.
