Radical funding for radical change
Sophie has worked as a fundraiser, funding advisor and grant-maker over the last 10 years. She is now the co-ordinator of a new fund, Edge Fund, which aims to challenge the usual power dynamics in funding by providing an alternative model that is democratic, accountable and transparent. Decisions are made by a membership consisting of both those who give and receive funding. The fund supports groups working towards social and environmental justice and systemic change.
