A choir of gay performers sang a poignant version of Bridge Over Troubled Water at London's vigil for the Orlando shooting victims.

The London Gay Men's Chorus - Europe's biggest gay men's chorus and UK's biggest male voice choir - were captured by an onlooker as they sang the Simon and Garfunkel classic.

Hundreds of people can be seen watching the performance in silence, taking in the scenes in memory of the 49 people killed by a lone gunman in Florida.

Londoners had gathered on Monday evening in their thousands in the heart of the capital’s gay village.

Flags bearing messages of defiance were held up and a number of hands were raised in the air during the two-minute silence.

The tribute was so quiet "you could hear a pin drop” on Old Compton Street in Soho.
