The Extinction Rebellion stunt came as protesters marched through London on the penultimate day of their “Autumn Uprising” campaign.
Around 60 activists are thought to have been arrested, including a former police officer and an Olympic gold medalist.
Climate protest group has vowed to blockade "every single road" in Westminster.
Protestors had originally planned to march on Central London.
