Daily Star Sunday Offices Searched By Police After Clive Goodman Arrest

The Daily Star Sunday’s offices were searched by police this afternoon after the arrest of former News of The World royal editor Clive Goodman.

A source told the Huffington Post that police arrived at the offices, shared with the Daily Star, shortly after 1.30pm.

The Metropolitan Police later confirmed they were searching an office in central London in relation to the hacking case.

The source made it clear that Mr Goodman was only a causal reporter and the paper was not suspected of any wrongdoing.

Police went through another reporter's desk – used by Mr Goodman on his shifts – and took records.

The source added: “Everyone's really shocked, Clive's a good man!"
