Enjoy the hot weather while you can because forecasters are predicting a return to thundery showers.

The UK has been enjoying a mini-heat wave in August with temperatures in the south reaching 28°C.

But the sunshine is set to come to an end tomorrow and next week with rain and below average temperatures forecast.

The humidity is set to clear up after Wednesday, with the highest temperatures predicted to be 23°C in the south of England.

But don’t give up all hope for an Indian Summer. The Met Office said: “There are further indications that a more prolonged settled spell is likely into the middle of August, with more in the way of drier and brighter weather, particularly in the south of the UK, with temperatures consequently improving, perhaps becoming warm in some parts.”
