Simon Cowell Britain's Got Talent: Mr Nasty Rumoured To Return As X Factor Ratings Slide

Is Simon Cowell Going To Return To 'Britain's Got Talent'?

Simon Cowell is rumoured to be returning as a judge on Britain's Got Talent to prevent a possible ratings disaster.

Cowell is reportedly desperate to make sure that BGT does not go the same way as X Factor, which has seen ratings continue to fall since his departure from the judging panel - despite all attempts to freshen it up.

His game show Red or Black has also flopped and now The Mirror has reported that he'll come back from the US to judge BGT himself.

The line-up is currently up for grabs and needs filling soon, as David Hasselhoff confirmed that he was leaving on Tuesday and comedian Michael McIntyre announced his departure from the talent show that shot Susan Boyle to fame in September.

At the moment, the only confirmed judge is Amanda Holden, leaving a gaping hole in the line up.

There are rumours that Cowell might be bringing in ex-EastEnder and Carry On star Barbara Windsor. Another favourite to join is Little Britain comedian David Walliams. Former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue and former EastEnder Samantha Womack have also been put in the frame.

A Britain's Got Talent spokesperson said: "There's been a lot of speculation. We will announce the line up soon."
