When you sit down on Christmas Day to get stuck into your dinner, consider the fact that it's been a long journey for our festive vegetables and meat to get from the field to your fork – or 295 days, seven hours and 12 minutes to be exact.
Recent research by Morrisons discovered how many days and hours our Christmas meat and veg takes to grow in time for the most anticipated meal of the year.
While it takes our beloved seasonal veg and turkey ten months to grow, it takes Brits just over half an hour to polish the lot off.
Researchers also looked into how long it takes Brits to scoff their turkey with all the trimmings and their festive pud, and they found that despite spending an average of three hours and 30 minutes shopping for the food and three hours and 42 minutes cooking it - hungry Brits eat their Christmas dinner in 30 minutes and 44 seconds.
The quickest eaters with the biggest appetite were those from East Midlands, clearing their plates in 25 minutes flat. They even eat their dinner before the rest of the nation starts at 1:40pm compared to the average 2:25pm.
