Watch: How To Make Adorable Christmas Tree Cake Pops

If you're looking for something a little bit different treat-wise this Christmas, why not try your hand at cake pops? They're straightforward to make and - with a dash of creativity - you can make edible masterpieces.

Just watch the video above and super-skilled baker April Carter of the Rhubarb and Rose blog will show you exactly how to create adorable Christmas tree cake pops - perfect for gifts (and for yourself)!

Cake - April used a red velvet cake for this recipe
Cream cheese frosting
Candy melts (or easy melt chocolate)
Lollipop sticks
Sprinkles of your choice

Oh, and don't forget something to stick the cakepops in as they set! April uses a polystyrene block but you can use florists' oasis or even a halved grapefruit - cut side down.

For candy melts, lollipop sticks, packaging bits and bobs, polystyrene blocks and sprinkles galore, April recommends the following online stores:

Cakes, Cookies and Crafts
The Cake Decorating Company
Make a Wish Cake Shop
