Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has made a twit of wannabe rock star Frankie Cocozza after the X Factor reject accused him of bad hygiene.
The messy-haired wannabe wound up the footballer on Twitter yesterday by naming him as one of the #CelebsThatLookLikeTheyStink - a hashtag trending at the time.
He jibed: "Not really a celeb but I bet his pits are stinking along with his breath wayne rooney."
But 'singer' Frankie, who was kicked off X Factor for boasting about taking cocaine, was quickly put in his place when Rooney tweeted: "FrankieCocozza sorry who are u again? Oh yeah I remember your the kid who was on x factor who couldn't sing." Ouch!
The rebuff prompted fans across the social network site to join in, with messages such as: Bit rich for Frankie to say Wayne smells when he clearly looks like he needs a good wash.
But the online row did not faze Cocozza, who appeared proud to get a rise from the player, tweeting: Just got merked by Rooney, personally I think that’s quite sick."
