If you could harness the power of robots to do your bidding, what bidding would you have them do?
If you have to ask what the point is, you may not be the best candiate for much of what the internet has to offer either.
Since you insist, the point is clearly to demonstrate how cool roboticists are, and how they completely own robots. Lord it over them, even.
The University's press release says: “The nano quads all have reflectors on their struts, which allows the camera system to plot their exact positions and relay that information wirelessly to each unit. Lab members can then assign each unit a series of waypoints in three-dimensional space that must be reached at an exact time.”
If that leaves you a little agog, don't think too hard about it. Just sit back and watch amazing flying robots do something you probably can't.
