The teenager who attacked a Malaysian student during the London riots and left him with a broken jaw was jailed on Friday for seven years.
Beau Isagba, 18, was found guilty of grievious bodily harm and robbery following his trial at Wood Green Crown Court last month. His attack on 20-year-old Ashraf Rossli during last summer was one of the most notorious incidents of the riots.
Rossli, an accountancy student who had been in Britain for just a month, was cycling to a female friend's aid when Isagba launched the assault. After punching the Rossli, Isagba was captured on CCTV footage riding off on the bike.
The Malaysian student was then robbed by two individuals posing as "good Samaritans". John Kafunda and Reece Donovan were recorded on film helping injured Rossli to his feet but then proceeded to rifle through his rucksack and steal £500 worth of video games.
The two men were unanimously convicted of robbery and violent disorder by a jury at the same court last Friday.
