Robbie Williams has taken a swipe at the paparazzi after he was photographed looking somewhat portly over the weekend.
In a blog entry entitled ‘Dear Paparazzi’ the former Take Thatter published an extremely flattering picture of his washboard stomach (and two middle fingers).
His note in full reads: “Dear Paparazzi (that ambushed our lunch at the weekend)
Thank you for your internationally syndicated horrid picture of me (the one you put up of me leaving Taverna Tony’s….)
Just to ‘weigh’ it up here’s me at home the next day….

The picture in question showed a smiling Robbie leaving the aforementioned restaurant in Malibu, sporting, it must be admitted, a double chin.
The singer flagged up his response on Wednesday via Twitter:

The 38-year-old is perhaps understandably sensitive about the subject of his weight and had previously admitted he was left traumatised after the British press christened him Blobby Williams when he was at his heaviest.
In 2007 his ex-lover Suzanne Copper told Closer the singer was “addicted” to counting calories and obsessing about his weight.
She said: “His freezer was huge but all that seemed to be in it were these ice lollies. He said he ate them all the time as they didn't make him fat.
"He knows the calorie content off by heart of every single thing he puts in his mouth and is addicted to eating these lollies. He must eat 20 of them a day."
