Madonna Pushes Back World Tour, MDNA, Due To 'Production Delays'

What's Holding Up Madonna's World Tour?

Madonna has delayed her highly-anticipated new world tour by two days, citing production issues for the setback.

The Queen of Pop has been in training for months preparing routines for her ninth global trek, which is named after her latest number one album, MDNA.

The star planned to kick off the jaunt in Tel Aviv, Israel on 29 May, but it has now been pushed back until the 31 May.

"The change in the opening date was announced today by promoters Live Nation and Shuki Weiss. All tickets dated May 29th will be honoured at the rescheduled May 31st event."

The delay comes after the Material Girl admitted she was "freaking out" over her new show to ensure it's her most sensational yet.

She said: "I have to say that in more than 25 years of performing I have never worked so hard or been so scrupulous. Or freaked out more than I have at the minute.

"There's been lots of cardio and I'm doing a combination of Pilates and dance cardio. And there's been plenty of skipping rope work. The envelope I'm pushing for (sic) is as spectacular a show as I can. It should be a feast for the eyes and ears."
