The Queen will visit East Lancashire on Wednesday as part of her Diamond Jubilee tour to celebrate 60 years on the throne.
She will be accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh in both Burnley and Accrington.
The Prince of Wales will also join them for the Burnley leg of the visit when they will meet young people and organisations which have worked with The Prince's Charities in Burnley.
Charles has been a regular presence in the town in recent years but the Queen has not visited since 1987.
After embarking on a barge along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal they will also attend the Prince's Charities' Regeneration Summit in the historic Weavers' Triangle area which was previously home to Burnley's textiles industry.
The Queen and Duke will then be given a tour of Burnley College and its University of Central Lancashire campus.
Lunch will follow at Burnley Football Club - said to be Charles's favourite football team - and then an afternoon visit to Accrington Market Hall where the Queen will unveil a coat or arms.
A short reception will then take place at Accrington Town Hall where they will view a county parade and march past.
On Thursday, the Queen and Duke remain in the north west of England as they visit Chester Zoo, Orford Jubilee Park in Warrington and then Liverpool.
