David Cameron has written to the England team wishing them luck in the Euro 2012 football tournament.
In a letter to manager Roy Hodgson and the players, the Prime Minister said the whole country was behind them and urged them to "make us all incredibly proud".

"The whole country is behind you, and will be cheering you on - and hoping that you can now go and do what no England team has done for nearly 50 years, and win an international trophy.
"So, come on England - let's make this a tournament to remember. I am sure that you will make us all incredibly proud.
"Yours, David."
