For anyone who hasn't played life simulator The Sims - which must be a minority of the word's population at this point - it may be a surprise to learn that it's totally possible to have sex in the game.
Aside from the fact developers EA insist on referring to the act as "woohoo-ing" rather than the much more mature "totally doing it", Sims are actually able to lead pretty rambunctious lives.
A recent study said that Sims have sex roughly 680,000 times a day - which isn't bad. And apparently more than 70m players have admitted being attracted to other Sims - more than the number of single people in America.
The game uses the "WooHoo" mechanic to boost your Sims mood and relationships, and it can also lead to Sims having a baby. And true to the oddball humour of the series, if you successfully get your rocks off in-game you'll be presented with a cute little firework display. Which is roughly equivalent to real life, if you're doing it right.
Moreover, since the launch of The Sims 2, the little electronic humans have been able to "woohoo" not only in bed but pretty much anywhere that the computer can adequately pixelate or hide with a doorway.
To celebrate the release of a new add-on ('The Sims 3: Katy Perry Sweet Treats) EA have provided the Huffington Post with this exclusive list of the most popular places to make Sims like, totally do each other.
It makes for interesting reading and, depending on your age and relationship status, inspiration.
Top of the list was a hot tub, which is fairly predictable. But with a dog house coming in third, and a time machine as high as seventh, you have to wonder about the supposed realism of the series. And call us prudes, but if a helicopter really is the 15th most popular place for Sims to have sex, that still seems a bit too high to be sensible.
Anyway, take a look at the full list, below.
