Moviemakers are aiming to dramatise the life of embattled WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange - in a story told through online dating encounters.
Director Cyril Tuschi will track Mr Assange's journey from his childhood in Australia through the launch of WikiLeaks, to international fame, according to movie website Screendaily.com.
UK screenwriter Michael Gaster is reported to be working on the film, entitled Leaks - Three Dates With Harry Harrison.
In the movie, to be made by German firm Port-au-Prince Film, his life will unfold through a trio of fictional internet dates, for which he goes under the alias of Harrison.
Assange remains in the Ecuadorian embassy seeking political asylum in the country
Producer Jan Kruger told the website that the WikiLeaks founder was seen as "a Robin Hood of the digital age who stumbles over his own personality".
Mr Assange is seeking asylum at Ecuador's embassy in London as he seeks to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning over the alleged sexual assault of two women.
The film will reportedly depict the Australian as a man who defied authority from a young age and the last of the three dates will see him in London wearing an electronic tag.
The company plans to begin shooting in Germany next summer.
