BBC Pulls Last Episode Of Good Cop 'To Avoid Distress'

The BBC has pulled the final episode of its drama Good Cop tonight after the murders of policewomen Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes.

The drama, starring former Hollyoaks and Luther actor Warren Brown, features scenes of a violent attack on a female police officer.

It is the first starring role for Warren Brown, a former Thai boxing champion

In a statement, the BBC said: "In light of news events, BBC1 has postponed the final episode of Good Cop due to transmit at 9pm tonight."

Programme bosses were keen to avoid any further distress to the friends, families and colleagues of Pc Bone, 32, and Pc Hughes, 23, who were murdered in Greater Manchester on Tuesday morning.

32-year-old Fiona Bone and 23-year-old Nicola Hughes were killed after they responded to reports of a burglary

The two officers died in a gun and grenade attack after being lured to a house in Hattersley, Tameside, on a "routine" call.

A new transmission date for the Good Cop episode will be confirmed in due course and instead a 9pm repeat of comedy series Outnumbered, followed by an edition of Have I Got Old News For You will be broadcast.
