It's exactly 25 years and one day since weatherman Michael Fish uttered the immortal words: "Earlier on today a woman rang the BBC to say she'd heard there was a hurricane on the way. Well, if you're watching: don't worry, there isn't."
To mark the momentous occasion, Fish has now recorded a new version of the forecast - in which he gets it right - and you can see it above.
And to mark the momentous occasion ourselves, we've compiled some of the best (ie worst) weather forecaster bloopers ever to grace our - and usually America's - TV screens. And while we realise that Michael Fish failing to warn us about a devastating storm isn't exactly the same sort of 'blooper' as, say, an on-screen graphic that looks a bit like a willy, we felt we couldn't kick off the slideshow with anything else.
