Body Camouflage Champion Carolyn Roper Hits The Beach

Can You Spot The Second Man In This Photo?

The last time we caught up with double World Champion Body Artist Carolyn Roper, she was hiding people in piles of fruit and veg in a set of pictures that had us scratching our heads for a long time.

This time she's been jetting off to a far more exotic location than the market stalls of England: the sandy beaches and blue skies of the Dominican Republic, where she's been creating some of her most challenging work yet.

A couple enjoying a meal alone ...or are they?

Working on a TV commercial for a Belgian travel company, Roper's been recreating cheesy holiday snaps with a difference: within each one lurks one of her patient (and not doubt rather itchy) models, blended almost perfectly into the world around them.

"It was definitely one of the most beautiful locations that I've worked in," she tells us.

"And although most outdoor body paint situations present various challenges, this one was definitely unique.

"We had to work in very high temperatures, and for one of the shots we had paint the model whilst we were standing waist deep in the Caribbean sea, with the paints floating next to us in a bucket!"

And here's Roper's fruit and veg series:
