In a world where celebrity images are seemingly infinite, there’s something quite refreshing – OK, we mean odd – about Jessie Bowie’s paintings.
The US artist, in her own words, "sits at the kitchen table and paints anthropomorphic freaks", the result being Michael Jackson as a tiger, David Bowie as a Pegasus and "Prince as a purple horse leaping into your heart".
Bowie, 27, told WENN: "I spend a lot of time looking at people on TV and imagining what they would become if they suddenly morphed into an animal.
"Sometimes I get ideas from their films and sometimes I go by their facial features, demeanor or the way they walk,"
The Florida-based artist sells her watercolours online – a steal at just $40 (£25) - $100 (£60).
