When it's released in the early autumn, Grand Theft Auto 5 should become one of the biggest, best and most ambitious games of this generation - and possibly the next.
At least it should on previous form. Because right now, that's all we've got. While the game is eagerly anticipated, so far we've seen little in terms of gameplay to justify the hype. Instead we've been treated to periodic screenshots which hint at the game's direction without giving too much away.
Last week Rockstar explained that those delays are about making the product as good as it can be ahead of the eventual September 17 release.
"As we have said before, we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future. We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don't do this because we 'don't care about our fans', 'don't respect our fans', 'hate GTA fans etc' - precisely the opposite!
"We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it."
But in the meantime we've just received 10 more screenshots, revealing a new minigun, some new vehicles and another sense of the scale involved. Take a look below, and remark your calendars for the 17th of September...
