Mother's Day Parade Shooting Leaves 19 Injured In New Orleans

A shooting at a Mother's Day parade in New Orleans has left 19 people injured, three of them critically.

There are no reports of fatalities but the youngest victim is only ten-years-old, reports Russia Today.

Police are looking for two or three suspects seen fleeing the scene.

Police Supt Ronal Serpas said: "It appears that these two or three people, just for a reason unknown to us, started shooting at, towards, or in the crowd," reports the BBC

"It was over in just a couple of seconds."

The incident happened on North Villere St and Frenchmen St in the city's 7th Ward at an event attended by around 100 people, reports the Herald Sun,
