The first case of foot orgasm syndrome, with a woman reaching spontaneous climax from inside the foot, has been documented by medical science.

The case study of the woman, known only as Mrs A, had an orgasm that originated in her left foot around five to six times a day.

The condition was triggered after she received intensive care treatment on her foot approximately a year and a half ago and which doctors believed might have confused nerve messages, with the brain misinterpreting information of stimulation of the foot as originating from the vagina.

The authors of the report, published by the National Centre for Biological Treatment claimed "an underlying neurobiological theory of a possible foot-genital relationship has so far not been formulated."

However they noted "In general, people are attracted to nice legs and feet. The foot is an erotic symbol, variably appreciated by different people

"Erotic thoughts and feelings about feet may become intentionally accentuated by fashion and the wearing of shoes with high heels, providing a position of the foot that resembles its position during (female) orgasm when feet and toes may automatically go into plantar flexion resulting in arching of the foot and curling of the toes."

The report also noted that this foot orgasm had different attributes to a standard climax. The woman had foot orgasms without feeling any sexual desire as well as whilst feeling aroused. Unlike normal female orgasms, the foot climax was much shorter, lasting only 5-6 seconds. The orgasmic sensations were "mainly felt in the left foot, back under the knee and vagina."

Mrs A also reported that the foot-induced orgasms are often accompanied by "vaginal lubrication and loss of urine."
