Those chaps at Nasa are a good bunch.
Not only do they dedicate their lives to exploring the cosmos for the advancement of mankind but they also take time out to answer enquiries from inquisitive seven-year-olds:
Dexter Walters penned a letter saying he was aware his tender years prohibited from going to Mars just yet but what could he do to maximise his chances in the future.
Nasa replied with details of resources, space camps and other bits of info to help in little Dexter's inter-planetary ambitions.
Amazing. And good luck Dexter! We hope you make it to the airless, inorganic, punishingly radioactive dust hell planet millions of miles from civilisation that you so desire to see, for some reason.
