Cats aren't the easiest pets to have around for gadget lovers. While dogs will sit still while you attach GoPro cameras to their heads, cats require you to track them with a variety of expensive sensors and a major national broadcaster just to find out where they go at night.
But for one tech-minded pet owner and DIY fan in Japan, having a cat was the perfect chance to try out his new invention - a multi-level, futuristic caged walkway attached to the sides of his house.
Not much is known about the literal catwalk, other than it's just turned up on a Japanese discussion site and proceeded to blow the internet's mind.
According to poor translations of the site, the other users are impressed by the ingenuity of the cat owner.
"Wants to see the happy faces of the cat over I know this feeling," says one, through the filter of Google Auto Translate.
Agreed. But we can't help but think such an invention would be perfect not just for cats but for children too.
