Nairobi Terror Attack: Terrorists Give Children Mars Bars In Miracle Amidst Massacre

'Please Forgive Me, We Are Not Monsters'

Terrorists have shown little mercy for shoppers in Nairobi’s Westgate mall, but in a miracle amongst the massacre, the brutal attackers spared two terrified children and bizarrely offered them Mars Bars.

As the terrorists worked together to hunt in packs, methodically moving from store to store during the prolonged attack, other helpless children were slaughtered with scant regard.

More than 60 people have been massacred and 170 injured, according to reports, with children as young as two thought to be among the dead.

Kenyan officials say forces are 'in control' of the shopping mall

But in an astonishing twist, a four-year-old boy from Windsor was revealed as a survivor after he confronted a terrorist gunman, telling him: “You’re a very bad man, let us leave," the Sun reported.

The boy and his sister along with their mother, Pauline, were spared following the little boy's bravery in the face of men armed with AK-47s, with one attacker incredibly taking pity on the family.

Pauline told The Independent the terrorist instructed her to change her religion to Islam.

“Naturally, I was going to say whatever they wanted and they let us go,” she said.

Bizarrely, her children were then handed Mars Bars and were told: "Please forgive me, we are not monsters."

In shocking images the children can later be seen holding the chocolate bars next to a dead body outside the Nairobi mall.

The gunmen were believed to be members of al Qaeda-linked Somali militant group al Shabaab which said the assault was in retaliation for Kenya's military helping the government in Mogadishu.

Heavy bursts of gunfire are still being heard from inside the shopping centre today despite Kenya's interior ministry claiming security forces were "in control" of the situation.
