Fire On London's Oxford Street Closes Road (PICTURES)

Twenty firefighters are tackling a blaze on London's Oxford Street, after the first floor of a building caught alight.

Four fire engines descended on London's busiest shopping street at 11am on Thursday morning.

London Fire Brigade said the fire was on the first floor of a building under refurbishment, next to the fashion accessories shop Superbabe.

The fire is now under control and an investigation into the cause of the blaze has been launched.

The street has been closed between Tottenham Court Road and Berwick Road.
