Two men have been charged after a young woman was left unconscious following a violent attack on a bus, police said.

The 22-year-old victim was taken to hospital with head injuries after she was attacked on the 344 bus in Lambeth, south-east London in the early hours of August 29.

CCTV images showed a group of five men she had never met criticising her clothing before pouring a can of drink over her and pulling her hair.

She was then pushed and kicked in the stomach, and fell to the ground unconscious.

Kieran Brown, 25, of Nightingale avenue, Harrow, will appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court on December 16 charged with actual bodily harm, while Joel Clue, 22, of Kennington Road, Lambeth while appear at the same court on December 18 charged with common assault.

Both men have been released on bail. Scotland Yard said it was not seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation.
