I'm fairly sure Cesar Millan, dog whisperer extraordinaire, would thoroughly disapprove if he visited our home and saw how spoilt our family dog is. Toby has his own sofa in the lounge, enjoys family leftovers for dinner, and dominates a large portion of my digital camera memory. I'm definitely one of those insufferable owners who likes to show off pictures of him rolling over or catching a ball.
If you've got kids who love taking snaps of their pets too, you might be interested in the Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year competition. The annual competition is in its sixth year, and is part of the DFC Crufts awards 2010.
This year, there are four main categories, including:
- Dogs at Work
- Dogs at Play
- Dog Portrait
- Man's Best Friend
To enter, the fee is only £3.50 for four images, and the closing date is 31 August . You can find out more details on www.dogimages.org.uk
