Fidel Castro, Cuba's former President and revolutionary leader, has made a rare public appearance.
He attended the inauguration of an art gallery in Havana.
Castro handed power to his brother Raul Castro in 2008 after falling ill in 2006 and his last public appearance was almost a year ago.
