It is not easy being Robin van Persie, André Villas-Boas or David Moyes. The Dutch striker has suffered numerous injuries this season, Villas-Boas was sacked by Tottenham and Moyes has overseen the drastic decline of Manchester United. Arguably more deserving of sympathy are their Twitter alter egos.
Ravi Visvesvara Prasad (@RVP), Ashley van Buren (@AVB) and Sarah Moyes (@moyesy) opened up about the abuse and adoration their Twitter handles generate in a heartfelt conversation after the latter was mistaken for David Moyes' daughter.
"Same thing happened to me a few months back," remarked Ashley of Villas-Boas' sacking. "It's bizarre and frustrating, but it'll (mostly) blow over."
Visvesvara Prasad, bombarded with praise and abuse after Robin van Persie signed for United 18 months ago, warned: "I don't think it will ever stop or blow over. I've had it really bad since aug'12. Kudos to the witty humorous way you handle it."
AVB admitted being AVB has its perks, though.
"My guy gets fired a lot. So I get some breaks," she said.
