‘TOWIE' Star James ‘Arg' Argent: ‘I Want To Do ‘Strictly Come Dancing' This Year'

‘TOWIE’ star James ‘Arg’ Argent is the latest celeb to volunteer themselves for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ 2014, revealing that he reckons he’d do well on the show.

Arg even said that the ‘Strictly’ bosses have already considered signing him up, telling the Daily Star: “I want to do Strictly this year and I’m definitely in their thoughts.”

The Essex lad, who occasionally performs swing songs on the show, is really keen to sign up and clearly isn’t planning to play hard to get.

“I can dance. I have got rhythm. I would shock people with my moves,” he said. "I have always dreamed of being in the West End and so this show suits me down to the ground.”

Let’s be honest - he sounds more than a little bit desperate.

If ‘Strictly’ bosses don’t snap Arg up, then he’s open to other offers and would also happily jet off to Australia to take part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.

“I could do the jungle,” he added. "I’ve had good practice.

"I once ate some dodgy jellied eels.”

It doesn’t take a genius to spot that Arg’s plans aren’t exactly original. Former ‘TOWIE’ stars Mark Wright and Joey Essex have both spent some time in the jungle and stated that they’d love to get their dancing shoes on and star in ‘Strictly’.

The cast of ‘TOWIE’ do know that ‘Strictly’ usually features a range of celebrities, right?

Arg was left stunned in the show’s series finale when his ex Lydia Bright made her dramatic return, which left Gemma Collins in tears.

'Strictly' bosses are currently deciding who will replace host Bruce Forsyth, who recently announced that he is retiring for the show.

The TV legend will still front the Children In Need and Christmas specials, but execs are deliberating who can take over his role as Tess Daly's Saturday night co-host.
