Formula One is an undeniably exciting and powerful sport. It's also hideously bloated, dominated from the centre by a distractingly powerful, er, 'ideas' man, increasingly perfunctory races and -- when it comes to the environment -- ludicrously hypocritical 'green' policies.
It has also -- to this writer's chagrin -- also failed to bring the occasionally promised London Grand Prix to life, despite the fact that it would be awesome to the power of incredible.
Formula E is here to ostensibly solve some of those problems. The new all-electric racing series kicks off next year, and London will be the stage for its championship race with a course planned around the redeveloping Battersea Power Station site.
It's not quite clear that all of the Formula E ideas are good -- fans will be able to vote via Twitter to give some drivers a power boost, which seems... interesting -- but we can't wait to see it.
Recently some of the cars came over to the UK to promote next year's race. Check out the awesome sight above.
