‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Darcey Bussell has revealed that the team have been trying to convince Sir Chris Hoy to take part in this year’s show.
It is also rumoured that Pixie Lott could be signing up, joining Judy Murray and Frankie Sandford, both already confirmed to be taking part.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Darcey reveals: “Hopefully we get a Scottish sports person, that would be quite cool.
“We've already been trying to get Chris Hoy, who of course did so incredibly well in the Olympics."
Sadly, Sir Chris is understandably quite busy and the BBC are yet to put pen to paper on a deal.
"We always try and we still have to work a bit on him as he's always been busy," Darcey adds. "Hopefully now his job as an ambassador for the Commonwealth Games is over he might consider it. The producers are doing their job very well."
Meanwhile, a source tells the Daily Star that singer Pixie is already on board, revealing that bosses are hoping the singer will bring in a younger audience.
“Producers think Pixie is perfect for ‘Strictly’,” the source states. “She’s sexy and stunning, yet is very classy which is what ballroom dancing is all about.
“Pixie has a young fan base and execs are hoping she will bring in some younger viewers to help beat X Factor in the ratings again.
“Not only will she be a huge hit with the male viewers, she’s also very much a girly girl so bosses expect her to do well.
“She’s had some previous dance experience from performing so she could be a good bet for an early winner.
“It’s not a done deal yet but everyone concerned is confident Pixie will be on the show.”
There are plenty of other celebs rumoured to be taking part in the series, including former ‘TOWIE’ star Mark Wright and Caroline Flack.
