Marvellous news to kickstart your weekend, everyone, Justin Bieber has finally decided to ditch that excuse for a moustache he’s been sporting for the past few months.
That’s right, gang - pop the champagne, let off the glitter cannons and form an orderly conga line in celebration, The Biebstache is gone from our lives, possibly forever, only to be revisited in our most horrific and graphic nightmares.
The Biebstache at the height of its reign of terror
Justin took to his Instagram on Thursday morning to share the joyous news with his followers that he’d made the wise decision to shave off the facial hair which was making him look more like an overly ripe peach than the thug he was envisaging.
He may have been a bit overzealous with the shaving foam but we’ll let him off. It is, after all, probably only his second or third crack at the shaving whip.
Justin then shared the results with his followers, looking more like the ‘Baby’ singer we fell in love with than the pants-flashing, egg-hurling Biebs who’s dominated the news in recent times. With a few extra tattoos, of course.
As well as the photo, Justin wrote the caption “ur boy got rid of his stash”, confirming that his facial hair had truly been banished, at least for the foreseeable future - so get that celebratory ‘RIP Biebstache’ party going.
As if that news wasn’t enough, Justin has promised fans that they can look forward to a new album from him by the end of the year.
*party immediately grinds to a halt*
Yes, that’s right, folks. Clearly having had enough of being famous for all the wrong reasons, Justin has returned to his first love of music (his second and most important love, being himself) and will finally be bringing out a follow-up to 2012’s ‘Believe’.
Frankly, he can do what he likes, as long as he can give us a written agreement that he’ll be keeping that unsightly facial hair away for good.
Meanwhile, The Biebs recently did what he does best - y’know, whipping his top off and fiddling with his Calvin Klein waistband - when he shared a video of him taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge earlier this week.
