Julie Andrews: ‘I've Always Been A Lady Gaga Fan... But Now We've Bonded'

Lady Gaga has a new fan - or Little Monster as she refers to them - in the shape of stage and screen legend Julie Andrews.

The 79-year-old has revealed she’s a huge fan of the ‘Bad Romance’ singer and says they have bonded following Gaga’s showstopping performance of a medley of songs from ‘The Sound Of Music’ at this year’s Oscars.

Julie - who played Maria in the Oscar-winning musical film in 1965 - added that she was ‘deeply honoured’ by Gaga’s tribute to the film, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The performance, which featured ‘The Sound Of Music’, ‘A Few Of My Favourite Things’, ‘Edelweiss’ and ‘Climb Ev’ry Mountain’, became the night’s most-shared moment on social media.

Julie, who joined Gaga on stage at the end of the performance, added that she has now found a new friend in the 28-year-old singer.

We wonder if Julie will be getting an invite to Lady Gaga’s forthcoming nuptials?

The star is set to walk down the aisle with her fiancé Taylor Kinney, after he got down on one knee and proposed on Valentine’s Day.

Sharing a pic of her engagement ring on Instagram, the singer wrote: "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!"
