Ruth Jones, Jennifer Saunders, Maureen Lipman and Annette Crosbie also appeared, along with another star who made her surprise entrance in the sketch’s closing minutes.

The ‘Do Something Funny For Money’ telethon saw a whole host of stars attempting to raise cash, with sketches, performances and even a world record attempt.

David Walliams’ ‘Little Britain’ skit was one of the evening’s highlights, and No Direction’s performance also delighted viewers.

This year’s cash means that, in total, Comic Relief has raised £1 billion. The charity’s cash is divided between a number of charities, in the UK and overseas.
