The reality star will not be appearing in the forthcoming Marbella specials of the ITVBe special, after he broke the network’s rules by seemingly promoting slimming pills on social media.
Mario, who has also appeared in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, landed himself in hot water, after sharing a photo on both his Twitter and Instagram pages, where he was seen posing with a weight loss supplement.
A spokesperson for ‘TOWIE’ told The Sun: “Mario is currently suspended from filming and as such will not be appearing in the Marbella episodes.”
He was previously suspended from the show last year, after he was caught on camera appearing to snort an illegal substance.
Once his suspension was up, Mario described it as a “much needed break”, adding: “I think my attitude had become a bit lacklustre. I had become a bit arrogant with it all.
“I think I needed a reminder that I am very fortunate to be in the position I am in. I am very lucky to be part of the show. So it has helped a lot.”
However, Mario isn’t the only member of the ‘TOWIE’ cast who won’t be appearing in the Marbella specials.
Ricky Rayment has also said he’s “taking a break” from the docusoap, with a spokesperson for the show confirming he’s leaving on a “mutual agreement” with producers.
After splitting up with Jessica Wright, Ricky is currently dating Marnie Simpson, whom reality fans will recognise from the cast of rival show, ‘Geordie Shore’.
Dan Osborne will also not be returning to the show, following several allegations of verbal abuse from his ex-girlfriend.
