Comedian Jon Hendren, aka @fart, has seemingly pulled off one of the most ridiculous pranks we've ever seen on live TV after the show mistook him for prominent Al Jazeera journalist John Hendren.
Hendren was invited to speak on HLN about Edward Snowden joining Twitter, but decided he would speak about Edward Scissorhands instead and see if he could get away with it.
Starting off carefully, he used ambiguous terms which could have been related to Edward Snowden, but then tipped things over the edge when said: "I think to cast him out, to make him invalid in society, simply because he has scissors for hands...I mean that’s strange. People didn’t get scared until he started sculpting shrubs into dinosaur shapes and whatnot."
HLN anchor Yasmin Vossoughian was seemingly undeterred in her attempt to get a good interview out of him, either trying to be professional or not listening.
Hendren took this opportunity to kick things up a notch, adding: "We’re treating him like an animal, like someone who should be quarantined and put away. Just because he was created on top of a mountain by Vincent Price, incomplete with scissors for hand and no heart. Edward Scissorhands is a complete hero to me."
Like the masterful troll he is, Hendren managed to go on for some time about Johnny Depp's character in the 1990 Tim Burton film.
At least, we're fairly sure this was all a prank. Hendren still maintains it wasn't.
